In celebration of this milestone, the Milken Archive presents a new multipart series, "Voices of Change: 50 Years of Women in the American Cantorate." The series begins with a compelling interview with the first woman ever ordained as a cantor, Barbara Ostfeld. Cantor Ostfeld reflects on her groundbreaking journey, the challenges she faced, and the strides made since. Her story is one of courage, perseverance, and a deep love for Jewish music.
